Vitaliano N. Nañagas II

 

Vitialiano N. Nañagas II, in his over twenty years of management experience, has credited numerous influential posts to his name. His leadership experience in the government includes posts at the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Social Security System (SSS), and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) as its Chairperson. He has also lent his management expertise to various financial institutions here and in the U.S., Philippine and multinational companies, and educational institutions. He has served either as Director or Chairman for the Bank of the Philippine Islands, the Philippine Stock Exchange, Manila Electric Company, San Miguel Corporation, Star Motor Corporation—to name a few. He also serves in the Boards of some of the leading names in the academe, including Ateneo de Naga University, De La Salle University, and Assumption College. In 1997, he was conferred the Papal Award (Knight of the Pontifical Order of St. Sylvester) by Jaime Cardinal Sin.

Apart from his management and leadership involvements, Mr. Nañagas is active in civic and non-government organizations including the Philippine Agrarian Reform for National Development (PARFUND), Christian Life Community, Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation., Foundation for Philippine Environment, and most recently Cartwheel Foundation, Inc. as Chairperson.
